Today, I was asked to run our Saturday morning prayer meeting. Personally and I feel for everyone there, there was such a powerful moving of the Holy Spirit! It was Aweseome!
I mention it here because as I was praying... I don't know if I was just getting excited or if the Holy Spirit was moving in my heart... maybe both? whatever it was, at one point during the prayer... I had my fist shaking in the air, yelling "I will go to Africa and you will move powerfullying through me!" I wasn't commanding God or anything blasphemous like that, but just declaring what was in my heart in faith. I just thought it was funny.
It was such an edifying time and I'm grateful. God is so good...
Please pray for me, I'll me giving a testimony at Calvary Korean United Methodist Church and they are making an announcement about me going to Tanzania at GCC tomorrow.

Crusade...
Missionary Choi, Missionary Yang, Grace, and I were headed somewhere, driving through town. As we were driving, we passed an open field with a large crowd. There was a stage, speakers, and people up in the front sing or preaching... No different from a crusade we organized just a
couple of weeks ago. This one, however, was a Crusade for Islam...
Can you pray for the seminarians at PGM. Ask that God gives them bigger visions... not only for their community, but their region. Not only for their region, but their country. Not only for Tanzania but for Africa. Pray that God will raise up men who will invade into the strongholds of Islam, shamanism, deceptions of powerlessness and hopelessness, and injustice. That these men will engage in spiritual warfare in the frontlines...and not shy to the safety of the rear. we ALL need to engage in spiritual warfare... It is a race.
Muslim's are opening better schools to entice parents of young children to send their kids...these kids are learning Islamic principles and their hearts are being effected. We've been in villiage where we were the first non-Tanzania missionaries to step foot in it, and we saw Muslims there.
I believe God wants His people to pray, rebuking the enemy and lies...And I pray, as we are praying, that God will convict our hearts and instill in us a vision to mobilize. Partner with me, PGM college, the seminarians, and Missionary Choi and Yang in prayer! email me (seonchoi@gmail.com) to let me know you're praying for me, for PGM, for Missionaries in Tanzania, for Tanzania, and for Africa.
AMEN!
couple of weeks ago. This one, however, was a Crusade for Islam...
He asked, as Grace (Na) and I watched the crusade... (roughly translated from Korean), "When you see something like this... do you think we can move slowly or we should move quickly." (referring to the work of spreading the Gospel)
Islam is moving very aggresively. They are doing so all over the world. I've read about it and seen the figures in class, but I saw the reality of it first hand in Tanzania. Please pray with me for 'victory' in, not only in Tanzania, but in Africa as a continent. Can you pray for the seminarians at PGM. Vision
I am praying for a vision... I don't want this to be a personal project, emotion driven, and self-centered in my experience and my relationships... I want a direct link to God's heart and His passion for His children in this country.
Why is it such a struggle to keep my mind and attention on the One who needs to stay the center? In today's article from 'My Utmost for His Highest', Oswald Chambers writes about the temptation of not only sin... but the temptation of "shifting our point of view" and how this makes us lose "what God has put into us through regeneration (being reborn)... the possibility of being of value to God."
2 Corinthians 4:16~17
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
This passage reminded me of the missioanries I met in Tanzania... mainly cause Missionary Choi, Missionary Yang, and Missionary Yoon (JooGang's Father) were always struggling with physical hurts and weariness. "What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal". I guess I still have a long way to go before I can solely focus on God, the unseen, and eternal things...because the visible things are always a distraction, constantly invading my thoughts and taking up my time.
I am struggling with keep God the center, but my attention goes to why my physical world, none of these things are bad or unworthy...but unworthy of being the center.
Man, I need to pray.

I found out yesterday that Benjamin, one of the seminarians passed away. There weren’t much details. Just that he died because of chest complications... also that he died praying.
He and I sat outside in the evenings… shared, laughed, sang songs, and enjoyed peaceful times. It’s one of my fondest memories. He was one of my favorite people.
I am angry, confused, and desperate for God to move and show himself strong, gracious, loving, and sovereign.
Please pray for the seminarians, Missionary Choi, and Missionary Yang. Please pray for Benjamin’s family, friends, and community.

Two months away...
It'll happen very suddenly and without warning. "only two months away!" Then a list of things that still need to be done, people that need to be contacted, funds that need to be raised, strategies and plans that need to be thought out... a whirlwind of anxiety.
- Matthew 6:31-34
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (ESV)
...why is this so hard to learn for me.
